Congratulations!
The results of summer auditions are listed below. Registration is limited at each level and more dancers were accepted than will
be able to participate. Therefore, registration is first come first serve. Registrations that are received after the program is full will be placed on a
waiting list. Merit Scholarship Award letters will be distributed via e-mai and should be
received no later than February 3.

BIRMINGHAM BALLET FACULTY is an impressive group of dedicated teachers lead by
Birmingham Ballet’s Director Cindy Free and Academy Director Amanda Limbaugh. The Birmingham Ballet curriculum is a progressive American system focusing on
developing well rounded dancers with a clean ballet technique adaptable to all
forms of dance and choreography. Upper level students are trained using an accelerated curriculum that quickly
brings marked improvement.
Summer Guest Faculty....................................
ALFONSO FIGUEROA is a veteran of over 30 highly successful years in the field of
professional dance. He has been a featured principal dancer, teacher,
choreographer, and director with several of the major American Dance Companies
including Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Elliot Feld and Boston Ballet. Figueroa has received numerous accolades and awards for his choreography which
will be the cornerstone of the repertoire of the Birmingham Ballet Professional
Repertory Dance Company.
JANET MORAN performed with the New York City Ballet as a prodigy of George
Balanchine. Additionally, she performed as a featured principal dancer with Boston Ballet,
Elliot Feld, and the original Birmingham Ballet. She brings a wealth of secrets of exceptional technique, learned first hand from
Balanchine, Richard Thomas, and other renowned American Masters, to her
students in a unparalleled expert instruction.
