On the Program...
Artist’s Palette (premiere), choreographed by Cindy Free to celtic melodies, features the artwork of the
extraordinary talented Arthur Price. His larger than life haunting images depict personifications of nature that beg
to reveal their stories. With dreamlike mystery, the women and the paint dance off the pages.
Flower Clock (premiere), also by Cindy Free, highlights the versatility of the dancers in Birmingham
Ballet’s Professional Repertory Company. The expressive oboe music by Albrecht Mayer
passionately represents flowers that bloom at different times of the day with
dancing personalities that range in quality from romantic to contemporary.
Doubt (premiere), choreographed by Birmingham Ballet Repertory Company artist Whitney Renfroe, is
a look at the crippling effects of doubt when it enters our thinking and our
relationships.
Birmingham Ballet Academy celebrates 22 years of excellence in teaching dance.
