BBA General Information and Policies
2003-2004School Year
Please review the following information
before completing your registration form.
Registration:
The Registration Fee is $40.
Registrations for the 2003-2004 School Year are accepted
through January 31, 2003. Classes begin the week of
August 18. To ensure proper training, class size is
limited. BBA reserves the right to cancel classes that do not
meet a minimum enrollment.
Tuition Policy: Tuition for the school
year is based on 35weeks of classes
divided into 11 equal payments.
Payment # 1 is due with Registration or prior to August 1. The
remaining payments are due on the first of each month thru June. Tuition is
non-refundable except for serious medical reasons with written
certification from a physician. If a student’s tuition is
two months overdue, the student will not be permitted to take
class.
1 lesson per week: $42 each
monthly payment
2 lessons per week: $80 each monthly
payment
3 lessons per week: $110 each monthly
payment
4 lessons per week: $126 each monthly
payment
5 lessons per week: $147 each monthly
payment
6 lessons per week $170 each monthly
payment
unlimited per week $190 each monthly
payment
Spring Performance: The 2002-2003 Class
Session culminates with a Spring Performance on Friday, June 4 at
the Samford University Wright Center. A Spring
Performance Fee is charged to cover each dancer’s
participation, costume(s) and unlimited tickets.
Pre-School Dance: 3 payments of
$50 (due 9/1, 11/1, 1/1)
Preparatory Ballet: 3 payments of $50 (due
9/1, 11/1, 1/1)
Ballet I-VII (2 costumes): 4 payments of
$55 (due 9/1, 11/1, 1/1, 3/1)
Advanced/Intermediate: 3 payments of $55
(due 9/1, 11/1, 1/1)
Billing and Late Fees: Accounts are not billed unless they are late.
A late fee of $10 is added to all outstanding
accounts after the 10th of the month. A $10 fee will be billed
for checks returned for insufficient funds.
Withdrawal Policy: Withdrawals are
accepted through December 31, 2002. Withdrawal is
effective at the end of the month with written notification by
parent or guardian. Tuition is due through the end of the last
week of the month of notification of withdrawal. Non-attendance
does not constitute withdrawal. Withdrawals will not be
accepted after December 31, 2003 and tuition will be due
through May 2003.
Attire: Students must wear appropriate attire for all
classes. Girls in Pre-School wear a pink leotard, pink tights
and pink ballet shoes with hair secured in a bun. Girls
in Preparatory Ballet and beyond wear a black leotard, pink
tights, and pink ballet shoes with hair secured in a bun. Boys
wear a white t-shirt, black pants or tights, and white socks
and black shoes. Musical Theater - black leotard, pink
tights and ballet shoes. Tap - black leotard, pink
tights, black tap shoes. Jazz - black jazz pants, any color
leotard, black jazz shoes. Dance skirts are not allowed
in Pre-School Dance or Graded Ballet Levels. Leg warmers
are allowed at the discretion of each teacher. Students
without appropriate attire and hair styles may not be permitted
to take class.
Attendance:
Regular timely attendance is
required. To prevent injury, tardiness beyond 10 minutes
may result in the student not being allowed to participate in
class In the event of absence, make-up lessons are encouraged
in a class of similar age and ability.
Class Observation: Each studio has
observation windows. Classes may be observed at any time.
Inclement Weather: BBA will close if either the Vestavia or Hoover School
Systems close in the event of inclement weather.
